Need Funding?

The Student Activities Finance Committee (SAFC) provides nearly 3 million dollars of funding to hundreds of registered student organizations across Northwestern’s campus annually! The funding pool of money comes from the Student Activity Fee on your tuition bill. For that reason, ASG funding is not only one of the best ways to financially support your student organizations, but also an important way to track how your Student Activity Fee is being used. See below to better understand our processes and how to best to get the funding you need!

The Spring Funding Cycle

The Spring Funding Cycle, which occurs in the Spring Quarter of every academic year, is the primary opportunity for student organizations to receive ASG funding annually. Every year, hundreds of student organizations receive millions of dollars in funding through this process. However, parts of the application process are complicated, so you can find our funding guidelines, FAQs, and previous year’s allocations at the link below!

Senate Funding

The ASG Senate also provides several financial resources for student groups on campus. The New Student Organization Fund, available quarterly, is for organizations under two years old. Senate Appeals, meanwhile, is an additional funding source for groups who feel their needs were not adequately covered by the Spring Funding Cycle. Check the link below for additional details!

The ASG Executive Grant and other Funding Options

In addition to grants offered by the University, ASG offers grants that can help students bring their dream events to life. The ASG Executive Grant, Sustainability Grant, and Student-Faculty Interaction Grant are just a few examples of additional financial support we can provide.
